Ultimate experience of my career

Volunteering for ProHealth missions has always given me the ultimate experience of my career as a Physician. I feel that the knowledge and skills that I possess are gifts from the Lord to be used to care for his people. What better way to offer those gifts back to him than to serve His people or 'one of the least of my brethren' at no cost to them!
I have been on several missions, and one of my discoveries is that every mission is unique.
The height of these experiences for me was when I had the wonderful experience, through ProHealth, to serve my tribe, who are largely Muslim, with qualitative and the gospel, at no cost to my people! The turn out was massive!
ProHealth International is great blessing not only to the recipients of services but to the givers and donors as well. It's a gift to the body of Christ.
Thank you ProHealth International!!!!!!!

My experience in Nigeria…

When coming to Nigeria I was faced with unexpected challenges. All of which seemed impossible to conquer. It is in this time that I have found that “ All things are possible with Christ”. In the short time that I have been here, I have grown to love working with all those involved with PHI, and have made many friendships. God has done so many amazing things. He is truly at work in and through PHI.

Life Changing

To really write about my experience in Nigeria, it would take a few pages at least, but here’s what I can say in a few sentences: I’m so glad to be here at this time – it’s really been life changing. It’s also been challenging – but it’s been good. I enjoy working with Pro-Health – going on the projects. I’ve gotten to know the Lord more, found Him to be my source of strength in everything and come into a greater place of rest in Him. I’ve learned so much, both spiritual and practical… The people we work with have taught me so much also- I really see Christ in them. I would say this really has been worth it- it has been one of the best experiences of my life.

Encounter with Jesus

Working with PHI has been a face-to-face encounter with Jesus. My heart has been challenged, broken, strengthened to encouraged; I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. It’s taught me to depend on Christ for everything…I’m not a doctor and I have no special gifts to offer these poor people we serve. At the end of the day, Jesus is all I have to offer.

An Experience of a Lifetime

It’s been two months since left the US for an internship with PHI. I’ve come to realize that this is an opportunity of a life time. The experience that I will gain from this ministry is unique and priceless. The projects we go on are intense, and frequent. We are gone about 2 weeks out of every month, traveling to different rural locations, offering help to these people that have the most extreme needs that I have ever witnessed. I’m learning the heart of God, the need in Africa, how to work with large crowds of people, and how Pro-Health’s projects are planned and brought to pass. These are my highlights. It has been a privilege, embracing the challenge.
